This hitch gives you a strong and versatile way to haul what you need. With a 5,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 500 lbs maximum tongue weight (5,500 lbs WD GTW and 550 lbs WD TW), it’s built for small trailers, campers, bike racks, or cargo carriers. You can hook up a ball mount, pin, or clip as needed and know it’s ready for light to moderate towing jobs.
The fully welded steel construction and matte black powder coat finish make this hitch both rugged and resistant to corrosion. The matte texture hides scratches and road grime better than glossy coatings while giving the hitch a solid, no-nonsense look. It’s made to handle real use without looking beat up after a few trips.

This hitch bolts directly to the vehicle frame using the included hardware kit. There’s no welding involved—just line it up and bolt it on. The precision, robotic welding ensures everything fits correctly so installation goes smoothly with basic tools in your driveway or garage.
The concealed cross tube keeps most of the hitch tucked up under the bumper, giving it a cleaner appearance. The sturdy square-tube design adds strength without adding bulk. It’s a solid Class III setup that looks good and performs reliably every time you tow or mount gear.

Easy installation even when doing it by yourself. Very pleased with the product.
This was less money so I got it being that it was rated for the same towing and weight as the other hitches .
The instructions and hardware that all came in the box were on point . The ears were slightly bent inward and I was told by customer service that it’s normal - the steel needs to flex with the truck or it would break . I don’t know about trucks flexing but when the customer service agent told me - bend it out and if you ruin it ... we have your back and will send a new one out right away .... man , I bent it with my floor Jack and a pipe ... took like 10 minutes for me to cut a pipe and get the Jack and hitch lined up all by myself ... once that was done man this thing fell into place ! All good , easy as a bolt on part can be . I have no lift ... I installed it alone laying on my back in my garage so it’s possible for sure for anyone to do if you have some mechanical skills . A partner would have been awesome .... but it’s done and I’m happy with the hitch . The bracket that braces the receiver is a rectangle steel plate . I am not happy with the sharp corners on that plate , so I’ll be just barely hitting them with a file and some touch up paint or something to protect the steel . No big deal at all .
The fact that I had to bend it and file it are the only reasons it got 1 less star . As for how it works towing , I should be towing at some point soon so I can update . I would buy this again for sure at this point .

It’s been a year now , and I will say that this hitch was a kick ass purchase . I felt like an idiot having a Tacoma without a hitch on it , like not even worth having a truck unless I can tow a trailer . I out the hitch on and really it’s just been a great purchase . I have absolutely no complaints . I was kind of worried about installing it myself …. And just said f- it I gotta have a hitch ! I just took my time and it was no big deal . I highly recommend it .
CUSTOMER WAS PLEASED
As always fast shipping, great product, great price and great customer service.
Installed on my Tacoma. No alterations or adaptation needed. Correct hardware included.
Quality product received super quick. The hitch fit right up nice. Will do business with again. Thanks so much.
Great product!, Quick shipping!
Very easy to install and it fits perfect on my 2013 Tacoma
The space between the hitch receiver's bumper brackets was 1/4" too short for my 2010 Toyota Tacoma. I had to spend an hour and various techniques in an effort to bend the bracket out so that it would fit.
Very solid hitch. I did have to bend the mounting arms 1cm as they didn't fit the span of the frame. was an easy fix with a block of wood and a small sledge hammer.
Great product! Fast and timely shipping. Only issue is side brackets flexed due to shipping and it was short by a 1/4 inch for me to bolt on frame. Resolved it by using a bottle jack and 2x4 and flexed the side brackets out to the correct fit. Very sturdy and strong and secure to pull my 21 ft boat.
Installed today Video instructions were flawless Will install the light kit tomorrow So here’s the skinny. I’m 59 yo, it was 98 degrees out today, and I finished in a couple hours with the help of a floor jack. I would absolutely recommend an extra set of hands and a lift if available. But hey if I can crawl around on the concrete so can you
Nice solid hitch receiver. Not difficult to install.

Still working excellent with no issues towing a 15 foot boat.
I like the texture of the finish and the fit was perfect.
The hitch is of good quality and it fit perfectly. I found that the best way to install the hitch is to remove the rear bumper entirely. All the mounting bolts need to be removed anyway and the two on the bumper are hard to get to and probably were in there since my 2007 truck was new. Much easier to remove all the bolts with the bumper off and the hitch is easy to install with no bumper in the way. Finished install looks good with very little of the hitch showing except for the receiver. PS I'm a pretty good DIY type and it took 4 hours to install this hitch.
The install on my 2008 Tacoma was fairly straightforward. It was easier to remove the bumper, install the (4) vertical bolts and (4) lateral bolts (2 per side) for the hitch, and reinstall the bumper. Exact fit for the vehicle, looks great and functional.
Definitely a 6/10, would be great to have a partner for this job, but you can do it if you have some scrap wood or something to rest the hitch on while you pray to pin it in place on one side. You will likely have to pull hard to get the hitch to straddle your frame. Again, I'm stubborn so I did this alone. Bumper removal NOT required, just loosened so you can wedge the hitch flanges and spacers in. The rearmost bolt is the hardest, helps to have some plastic dowel to hold the spacer while you try to fish the bolt back in.
Have not installed yet but it apears every bit of the quality of reese or curt ,or drawtite, all of which i have used in the past .living in the n east road treatments are hell on hitches, they need replacing often for saftey sake.the e trailer unit will be a great new piece of mind
Excellent finish and instructions. Came with everything I needed. Fit the 2010 Tacoma perfectly/just like factory.
Took me only an hour to install. The four washer/spacers/shims were difficult to get aligned with the bolt holes.
The right side brackets was bent, probably during shipment. I did get it bent back in place. Took a large bench vice and some leverage to get bracket back in its original position.
Other than these 2 issues, this install was a clean and neat project for the 2009 Toyota Tacoma.

It sounds like that the side brackets were knocked out of alignment which is why the bolt holes are not lining up. This can happen while in transit to our facility or to you. We do have a great FAQ that provides ways to move the brackets back into alignment so the hitch can be installed.

Easy to install. Seems heavy duty so far. Looks very nice as well. Priced extremely fair. Installed myself so a learning curve as it was my first time but all in all very easy to do.
Very nice, heavy hitch. Side plates are 1/4" heavy steel, everything is fully welded and welds look perfect. While it's rated at 5000 pounds, it looks like it could easily handle more.
My last order a trailer hitch came in a box that was busted open with no inside packing, now this order.
Your people just put the hitch in a empty box and stapled it shut, NO PACKING NOTHING inside to contain the heavy steel hitch, it broke the box in two places and was hanging outside the box.
What he hell is wrong with your packing department? This is crazy that etrailer would do such a thing.
I hate to see such incompetence ! What kind of MORONS do you have working for you? The box was not even stapled in two corners, Shipping a HEAVY hitch unsecured in a box where it can move around and bust out in several places! Horrible shipping and packing!!!
Other than that the hitch has only minor scratches and seems to be the right one.
Nice solidly built hitch. Still looks brand new even after several uses. The installation was easy and it came with all the necessary hardware. Would definitely recommend this hitch to others.
Seems to be well built. Fit my 2006 Tacoma TRD Sport perfectly. I had to purchase new bumper brackets in order to mount my bumper to the hitch though.
2006 Tacoma, rusted bumper and I needed to install a trailer hitch. I took the opportunity to purchase my trailer hitch and a replacement bumper. I removed the old bumper and installed the new hitch first. It fit perfectly, everything lined up and it was a cinch to install. Added a new bumper to complete my project. The hitch looks as if it were a factory install ! Many compliments on it. Thank You for a quality product that fits right the first time.
